La Sirenetta
About This Spot
Nestled right by the sparkling waters of Terrasini’s harbor, La Sirenetta invites you to slow down and savor a genuine slice of Sicilian coastal life. From the moment you step onto Largo Scalo, the gentle rhythm of the sea blends seamlessly with the hum of casual conversations and the soft clinking of glasses, setting a mood that’s both unhurried and welcoming.
This spot feels like a well-kept secret shared among locals—where fishermen pause after their early catches and families gather to enjoy the freshest flavors the Mediterranean has to offer. The air carries subtle hints of salty breeze and lemon zest, while the outdoor seating offers a front-row view of boats bobbing gently in the marina, grounding your meal in the authentic pulse of Terrasini.
It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where food tells a story. Plates arrive generous and thoughtfully composed, balancing the rich bounty of the sea with ingredients that speak to Sicilian tradition and care. Whether it’s fresh pasta tossed with local shrimp or a warm bowl of mussel soup, each bite feels like a moment of connection—to the land, the people, and the seasons. The owner’s personal touch adds to the experience, weaving in stories that make guests feel both welcomed and rooted in the place’s unique heritage.
Evenings at La Sirenetta unfold with a relaxed ease, illuminated by fading sunlight and the quiet charm of the port nearby. Whether you’re here for a refreshing glass of wine, a hearty plate of seafood, or simply to watch the world glide by from a shaded table, the atmosphere encourages genuine human moments—conversations that linger, laughter that comes easy, and a sense of belonging that stays with you long after the meal ends.

Everyone was nice and polite. The owner came and talked to us for a good bit. Shared with us about his life experiences and family. Beer was cold and dinner was great. Definitely return and enjoy the vibe next to the sea. Didn’t sail in but checked out the marina. Sailing Vessel Flip Flops.

we enjoyed an amazing meal here tonight for our first time in Terrasini! Beautiful view, delicious fresh pasta and fresh seafood. Prices are reasonable and they give you a nice portion. We ordered the seafood pasta and Zuppa di Cozze. Grazie Mille!

Loved it. Owner lived in Massachusetts for 20 years before moving back & opening this restaurant. Food was great, service was good, views & ambience spectacular. This was our last night before leaving Sicily after a tbree week trip and one of the best meals

Absolutely delicious with generous portions! Enjoyed the Piato Siciliano (plenty for two or three to share) and the Fettuccine with Shrimp (absolutely fabulous, you must try the local shrimp in Terrasini!). Quick & kind service with great outdoor seating. Try the local Sicilian Amaro as well, the perfect way to end a fabulous meal.

If you're looking for an authentic Terrasini dining experience, this traditional restaurant is what you're looking for. It's clearly a local favorite, especially among the fishermen, and offers breathtaking views overlooking the port bay. Their fresh fish plates are the star of the show, perfectly prepared whether you prefer them on their own or with pasta. I highly recommend trying the local busiate pasta with swordfish and aubergine, or the version with gambero e pistacchi – both were truly memorable. The large terrace is wonderful, the staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating to foreign visitors, and the prices are very reasonable for such high quality

I spent a week in Terrasini with my daughter, and we started every single day with breakfast at La Sirenetta. Fresh Sicilian sweet and savory pastries paired with creamy cappuccino and a stunning view of the marina… We often came back for lunch or dinner , and every time the food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Their pasta, pizza, and seafood are absolutely brilliant. We tried other restaurants in the area too, but finaly, we chose La Sirenetta for our final dinner in Sicily... What truly makes this place special is the wonderful owner, whose passion for feeding people is obvious. He is the heart of the restaurant, and the amazing dishes are cooked by his talented wife. Both speak excellent English, and the rest of the staff can also communicate in English. La Sirenetta is definitely a hidden gem in Terrasini that's absolutely worth finding.
